Formed in 2011 in Austin, Texas, The Gents are a four-piece Indie-Americana band with tight vocal harmonies and a clean mix of charm, rock, and high energy vibrations. The release of their self-titled EP, The Gents, in 2013 was met with an invitation to the Red White & Blue Ball; a music festival outside Austin, Texas in both 2013 & 2014. After their subsequent video release of "My Days" on Austin heavyweight, the band picked up traction from Austin media and venues.

Their newest effort, The Means (Part I of IV), was released in November 2015 and encompasses the overall growth of the group's transition from leaning more toward rock and roll vibes. The band is looking forward to continuing the expansion of its fan base both in Texas and regionally in early 2016. Continuing their recording efforts into the new year, the group anticipates three additional EP releases by Christmas 2016 (to complete their project: The Means).

The Gents pulls inspiration from artists such as The Band, Larry and His Flask and CCR. The outfit features three-part male vocal harmonies, electric and acoustic guitar, electric bass, and innovative drumming. With a mix of folk-rock, indie-rock and americana soul, The Gents have a unique sound and growing fan base at their live performances and on social media.
